MEET THE FACE BEHIND U-CAN DRIVE

I’m Sheila Kraft, the owner of U-CAN Drive.

I look forward to sharing my story. I hope that you will enjoy getting to know me better.

I’ve been in the transportation business for twenty-eight years, working with commercial long-haul, delivery, and construction vehicles and as an instructor. I started my career working for others and was promoted to management several times. It gave me the confidence to create an incorporated firm of my own in February 2000.

Natural Progression

A little more than three years ago, I was approached to become a certified driver evaluator through DriveAble, now known as Impirica. It seemed a natural fit for me since I had worked in the industry in multiple facets.

I contacted a registry for a few years and then decided to offer the same service in Lethbridge since there was no one offering this in the area. I soon added the full spectrum of commercial fleet evaluation and the medical drivers’ fitness evaluation to my portfolio.

Safety First Approach

Since insurance has climbed steeply, it’s imperative that companies make the right decision on whom they hire, as, sadly there are many bad drivers on the road.

Therefore, my goal is to help companies choose wisely and if there are any anomalies that appear in the algorithm of the evaluation process. As a result, it could be as simple as them learning good habits that enhance their skills and help them recognize areas where they can improve. If there are other problems showing in the evaluation it can alert clients to pursue further tests medically to catch problems that could occur if left unchecked or untreated. Being an instructor for many years has helped prepare my skills for evaluation services. The algorithm is key to seeing what I, as a human, may miss as it will flag it.

I’m also passionate about interacting with people, and as an individual, I believe what sets me apart is my customer service. It includes giving everyone the utmost importance and treating them like family members.

In addition, I attribute my success to the years I’ve spent learning from my mistakes and growing. My experiences have motivated me to do my best for my students, and when they succeed, it makes me happy. When I’m not instructing individuals, as we do not coach or instruct during evaluations. I work to put people at ease. Feeling like you are being tested is very stressful and I take extra care to assure them to just do what they do best.

I have enjoyed sharing my story about the things which matter to me and how they influence the way I do business.

If you or someone you know could benefit from my expertise as the owner of a core commercial on-road evaluations and assessments company in Lethbridge, Alberta, I invite you to contact me. Please call (403) 800-7813 or email busynessonthego@gmail.com.

Sincerely,

Sheila
